FAMILY THERAPY
Family Therapy can involve the whole family system or just some parts of it. This could include counselling for a couple experiencing difficulties on their own.
I offer Family Therapy to help you find better ways to deal with a wide range of concerns including:
- Conduct disorders
- Mood disorders, such as long term depression or anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Substance abuse
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions
- Separation and divorce
Regardless of the problem’s origin, or whether the clients consider it an individual or family issue, involving the whole family in the solution is often very beneficial.
I offer your family a safe, respectful space where you can each communicate openly about any problems or concerns. You can gain a greater understanding and learn more constructive ways of helping each other as well as better ways of relating. You can build on your family’s strengths, wisdom and connection.
I believe that family relationships are often the most important supports a person has. It is extremely important to improve these relationships so we can more easily support each other as we weather the ups and downs, the challenging storms, of our lives.
In addition to helping you find ways to positively change your interactions and improve the functioning of the whole unit, I will assist with improving the functioning of individuals within the family.
I’d like to help you.
