This is my first ever blogging experience. I’m feeling some normal, healthy nerves (and excitement) at starting this new adventure. Especially with the current level of my techno-bimbo skills. My recent learning curve, as I finally dragged myself into the 21st century – and launched my website – has felt surprisingly huge for me. Then, just as I was about to heave a great, satisfied sigh at the light glimmering at the end of that adventure, I realise that it is more of a deep gulp prior to launching myself into this next, more challenging, one. Onwards and upwards!
I love to write and always have. I started writing a daily diary at the age of 10 and have maintained some form of journaling ever since. It’s been one of my life savers. I have also written many letters to long-distant loved ones, from the same age. This was when I first went off to boarding school. The letters kept up my connections and the journaling maintained my sanity. Writing helped me cope with being on my own in a challenging new world.
The challenge of this blog for me is to expose enough of me, to allow each of you to get to know me and something of where I come from, without gabbling away too much.
I have been on a long, interesting journey of self-discovery, healing and positive change for 35 years now. I am hoping to distil all of that down for you, in the best way I can. To offer the best possibilities which have always worked for me and to open up some options you may want to explore for yourself. I am committed to helping myself, and you, create a better life. I’ve done a fair amount of trial and error over those years – and still am of course – as well as sometimes forgetting and needing a reminder. Perhaps I can help you save some time. Let me offer you the efforts of my hard work by filtering down some wonderful information, from many known and familiar sources. As well as sharing my own journey and experiences along the way which have all helped form who I am today, living a life I truly love.
A good starter could be to complete the statements below, so you can evaluate who you are, and what is important to you, at this present time. This exercise can be fascinating, just for yourself, and you can also decide to share more of yourself with others too. I am really interested to hear any responses you would like to share with me. I will share mine in a future blog, as way of introduction.
